Canoeing

Open canoes are the world's most flexible water vessel.

Which is great for Stag adventures, for a start you will be able to actually get in one - (this isn’t true for kayaking).

It's also brilliant if you have a mixture of abilities, injuries, or levels of nervousness - the boats even join together to guarantee a dry event if needed.

We paddle along the shoreline of Lake Windermere, this is true for all our Canoeing activities, but after that things can go in different directions...

We can...

Make stable expedition rafts, fill them with bushcraft kit and go out for the day exploring and cooking on fires. See Canoe Bushcraft or talk to us directly about bushcraft overnight 
Go out in capsizable two man canoes and explore the area.

Get competitive, each team is given a vessel and map, with the challenge to score more points than the other teams. Talk to us directly about |"point to point"

Canoeing makes for a great Sunday option after the Saturday night - a bit more mellow before driving home from the weekend.

Directions to: Fell Foot Park,LA12 8NN
From East (M6 and Kendal) and West (Barrow and Ulverston)
On the A590, at the roundabout at Newby Bridge turn towards Windermere
(from E after the Texaco Garage, from W after the Newby Bridge Hotel)
Fell Foot Park is half a mile along this road on the left.

From the North (Windermere)
Head South on the A592, following signs for Newby Bridge A590.
Turn right when you see the National Trust Fell Foot Park sign, just before Newby Bridge.
If you get to the roundabout at Newby Bridge (Left to Kendal, right to Ulverston and Barrow) you have gone too far
Use the first car park if possible as it is nearer the venue.
Please walk down the hill and meet the instructor on the tarmac above the cafe.
